So that's what Steve has to say, Now here's Our Facts 

based on 3 years of REAL R&D on these heads.

First off the Head Gasket that he's referring to as "The regular LA Gasket" will not work if your making any kind of cylinder pressure, we tried a set of Felpro Perma Tork and they made 3 passes and pushed between the cylinders.  The Felpro Performance gaskets made 1 day and 8 passes and they let loose. The gasket bore size of 4.180 laid on our 3.970 bore 318/375 test mule we're ridiculously oversize and took away compression from the little motor. We spent the time and money to have Cometic re-design the LA MLS Head Gasket to work on this head and they're now available through us as the FBO Spec-EQ Head Gasket in 10 thickness' and specific to actual finished bore size.

We have also engineered a Rocker Arm System in conjunction with Racer Brown for this head in a 1.6/1.5 rocker combo that requires No Guide Plates. These combo arms over 1.5's we're good for 40HP, straight 1.6's dropped us back by nearly 20.  This will vary depending the cam but our Racer Brown "ET Slayer" Test Cam really liked the Combo arms.

We have dissected and chopped up no less than 6 of these heads to ensure consistency in the casting and we've found them to be of Excellent quality, probably the best castings we've ever seen, far exceeding the original Mopar Castings and all other Aftermarket castings that we've worked on.  We've welded on them, cut the spring pockets until we hit air, Ported them, machined the pushrod pinch, surfaced them down to nothing all to determine just how far you can go.

We've spent months on the flow bench with different valve sizes and degree's of port work to determine what total combination works best, we have the formula and the parts list to get everything right.

We offer these heads in 3 stages, from a much improved stock replacement to an all out bracket package for your 318 to a 416 stroker.  We've tested several cams, valve sizes and rocker ratio combo's, tell us what your trying to accomplish and we'll build you a top end package from pushrods to carburetor that will maximize your combination to the fullest. We know what works!

IMO This is an Awesome head, we're making over 600HP with our 318/375 mule and it runs consistently within a couple of hundredths of a second on any given day.  They're absolutely the best cylinder head you can bolt on to your small block Mopar if you want Maximum Power, Reliability, Consistency, Durability and you want to Win Races.

You cut the light these heads will make the power.

In 2008 we'll be running a 400" combination and fully expect to be deep into the mid 10's, same heads, same ET Slayer Cam, same ET Slayer Carb.....just a little Iron Headed SB Mopar, kickin' Big Block butts all over the race track.

The Formula.....

I'll give you the basics but we're not going to publish everything we do to make these heads work:

CnC ported intake and exhaust 2 available stages

1.94/1.60 valves in a specific length

Our Special CnC mounting track for the rocker arms to allow for taller valves and springs

Open the spring pockets to allow for a larger diameter spring

Surface the heads to RA 50 for FBO Spec Cometic MLS Gaskets

We can also Provide the Correct ET Slayer Mighty Demon carb, all the gaskets in our FBO Spec type to fit the ports correctly, set up a FBO Distributor and FBO Ignition system, cam lifters and custom Smith Bros. pushrods and the correct stud kit.  All you'll need is a good rotating assembly that can handle the power and compression.
